This was Bonner’s#bkfc debut, he told us he felt good about his performance despite taking shots early on. He came back and delivered some big shots, putting his opponent down several times.
“I think I took a big shot in the first 30 seconds, opened my face up. You know, you don’t get them with boxing. You can just sit cover up. It was nice to taste the knuckles”
While Ben had experience in MMA training and bare-knuckle fights from 12 years ago, he hasn’t had a boxing fight in four years but looked right at home in the squared circle.
Bonner went on to tell us the biggest difference between boxing and bare-knuckle fighting, according to Ben, is the possibility of cuts on the side of the face. Ben is confident in his boxing ability and believes he can fight anyone in the top five, top ten of the rankings.
