Jorge Masvidal’s new bareknuckle venture continues to roll out bookings for its debut later this month.

In the inaugural Gamebred Fighting Championship co-main event, Brok Weaver (16-6 MMA) will take on Brandon Jenkins (14-7 MMA) in a catchweight bout. A precise weight was not in the announcement made by promotion founder Jorge Masvidal. Weaver is a lightweight. Jenkins recently made the move to the division from welterweight.

Gamebred Fighting Championship takes place June 18 in Biloxi, Miss. The event will be headlined by Jason Knight vs. Charles Bennett and stream live on BKTVApp.com.

Weaver has some bareknuckle experience on his resume. He fought Joe Riggs at BKFC 3 in 2018 and dropped a decision. He got to the UFC through Dana White’s Contender Series in 2019 and made his promotional debut in 2020 and picked up a disqualification win against Rodrigo Vargas.

But in his next two fights, Weaver was submitted by Roosevelt Roberts a year ago and Jalin Turner this past September. He lost both fights by rear-naked choke in the second round. In April, he bounced back with a decision win over Alexander Barahona outside the UFC with iKon Fighting Federation in Mexico.

Jenkins, who has six LFA fights on his resume, has back-to-back wins. After alternating wins and losses in his six LFA bouts, he hooked up with Iowa’s Caged Aggression promotion. After a spinning back elbow knockout win over Jordin Hinman this past November, he won the promotion’s 165-pound catchweight title in March with a decision over Aaron Mitchell.
