Dada 5000 had a lot to say after a hugely eventful BYB 25: Brawl on the Bay on April 4th.

When speaking to BKN, the boisterous promoter discussed some of the more standout bouts from the top of the card.

“Stars, bangers, and banners” was the operative wording to describe yet another successful offering from the company in Tampa.

Dada said “Harry Potter or Dumbledore” could not generate a better storyline for the BYB light heavyweight title main event between Hawkins and Jett if they used their magic wands. The weigh ins slap from Ryan Jett to Cub Hawkins generated a lot of social media attention and added extra fuel to the fire in this contest.

He recognized the complete lack of quit in Ryan Jett but Cub Hawkins eventually garnered gold in a second division (current Police Gazette cruiserweight titleholder) when all was said and done.

Other than the fourth round doctor stoppage in the crowd pleasing main event, another championship affair took place and was an inaugural title bout to boot. In regards to the BYB super flyweight title clash between Agnesa Kirakosian and Shelby Cannon where the former bested the latter on points, Dada 5000 said,

“Yeah. You know, she [Kirakosian] said that ‘Boom Boom’ [Cannon] hasn’t been tested. She hasn’t really been through no wars and tonight she was in a war. I take my hat off to her. You know, the best woman she won the night, you know. Again, it was a treat to watch them leave it all on the [line]. Leave it all in the mighty Trigon tonight.”

Also Gustavo Trujillo made an emphatic BYB debut in a heavyweight title eliminator with a first round KO of Levi Costa. ‘The Cuban Assassin’ is the only man to have beaten Lorenzo Hunt in bare knuckle and Trujillo has a legitimate claim to being the world’s best bare knuckle fighter today.

Elements are in place where Dada 5000 claims BYB Extreme are “the worldwide leaders inside this space”. He says people are starting to get it and appreciate what BYB has to offer. Not just the historical perspective of this company’s lineage but what the Mighty Trigon represents in the present and the future for the sport of bare knuckle.

As far as what’s next, BYB 26 in Denver looms on the horizon with BYB Extreme next setting up the Mighty Trigon on May 10th
