Before a sell-out crowd, the hometown favorite felt the strength of Christensen and was doing all he could to keep ahead on points in the 175 pound battle.“He’s a tough dude, and he’s a bit bigger than I thought he would be.” recounted Martinez, “They’re too big for me, I need to get back down to 165, 155 my regular fight weight class.” “I was trying to end it quick, but that didn’t happen.” Martinez said upon reflecting on his well-earned victory.
