Darren “The Dazzler” Hendry celebrated a comeback win at #BKFC37 after his defeat in Newcastle in November. In his exclusive post-fight interview with Bare Knuckle News, he revealed the reason for his prior loss:
“I’m not taking anything away from Anthony Holmes but anyone could see that I was blinded. I got my nose broken a couple of weeks before the fight and I couldn’t see. I can sit here, feel sorry for myself and dwell over the loss. Or I could come back in the next available show. And that’s what I did.”
This time “The Dazzler” had an ideal preparation in his training camp in Thailand: “I was just living like a spartan every day, training six days a week, three times a day.”
Hendry pays his opponent Corey Harrison respect for his toughness: “Not many people get back up after those shots. He was a tough boy. But I just thought I had more about me. A bit more street savvy, a bit more ring craft.”
