Paige VanZant fell to 0-2 inside of the bare knuckle boxing ring last night (Fri., July 23, 2021) at BKFC 19 live on FITE TV PPV from inside Florida State Fairgrounds in Tampa, Fla., when she lost to fellow UFC veteran Rachael Ostovich in the main event.

VanZant and Ostovich both came out firing as the former UFC fighters met in the center of the ring and exchanged heavy punches. After the action calmed Ostovich seemed to keep her cool and perform comfortably in her bare knuckle debut. VanZant was the more active puncher, but she didn’t land at a great percentage.

It was mostly a back-and-forth fight for the first 15 minutes before the action hit the fourth round. That’s when Ostovich landed a beautiful right hand as “12 Gauge” was coming inside. VanZant was stunned, but she didn’t fall down. VanZant would recover and turned things up in the fifth round to try and salvage a win. Unfortunately for her, Ostovich captured a few more rounds to bank the unanimous decision victory.
