The experience of his UFC debut in Newcastle was amazing for him, especially since he hadn’t competed since 2016.Getting back to fighting was made easier by training with different gyms and having faith in his preparation.

Cook told #bareknucklenews:
I’ve been going to different gyms to get the training, and so basically all the way up to this fight, I’ve been having faith in the gyms, the loads of different lads. So that was just another fight, just another heavy sparring session.”

Cook had no trouble transitioning to bare knuckle fighting, as he had always been drawn to the thrill of a good scrap. The sensation of connecting with bare knuckles was truly exhilarating for him. In fact, Cook had quite a lot to say about his first experience fighting bare knuckle. He described it like this

“It’s brutal. There’s no way you can escape in MMA. You can look for takedowns if you’re hurt, injured, if you’re injured. In this sport, you cannot hide from it. You’ve just have to dig deep and go for it.”

Cook says he is ready to go again and will take on anyone BKFC has for him.
