Joe Joyce takes on Carlos Takam in London today, plus much more!
Today at 2:15 pm ET streaming live on FITE TV PPV in the U.S. (and probably elsewhere) for $12.99 and airing on BT Sport in the United Kingdom, heavyweight contender Joe Joyce returns to action, facing veteran Carlos Takam in a 12-round main event.
Live updates during the show, including round by round for the main event, will automatically appear in this stream:
Joyce, 35, last fought in Nov. 2020, stopping Daniel Dubois in the 10th round. There was a chance of him facing Oleksandr Usyk for the interim WBO heavyweight title, but when Fury-Joshua fell apart, Usyk got his mandatory shot with Joshua for September, so Joyce was kind of left hanging.
Takam, 40, is a solid veteran fighter but not close to a contender anymore. He’s won four straight against middling opposition since a 2018 loss to Derek Chisora, and also has defeats to Anthony Joshua, Joseph Parker, and Alexander Povetkin, for notable names.
