When asked how she felt about her performance in the strawweight fight, Hinshaw said she knew she was “going to take the win.” Her strategy of “going in and picking my shots” helped her knockdown Sigala with a sharp right-hand. However, Sigala suffered a gruesome ankle displacement injury during the fall and the fight was called to a stop after 38 seconds in the 1st round.

Hinshaw said it was “amazing” fighting with her home crowd cheering for her. As a former MMA fighter, she said her training was not as complicated as there is no wrestling, but the “fist-to-face” is a whole different ball game!
