At Knucklemania IV, Imperial Valley’s own Daniel ‘Machete’ Alvarez staged a dramatic comeback in a tough bantamweight showdown. After being knocked down twice in the first round by Victor Rosas, Alvarez turned the tables and secured a victory via technical knockout. The fight was halted by the ringside doctor at the end of the fourth round: “It feels pretty good to be able to step back in there so quickly and just prove that I’m one of the top contenders in the division. I was actually supposed to try to avoid his right. Unfortunately I had to get cracked to remember that the game plan was to be on the opposite side. The guy definitely deserves to be here. Get that man a contract. I would definitely run it back with him. He’s sharp man and he’s a dog.”
