Taylor “Killa Bee” Starling returned to the win column on Saturday.

Starling snapped a two-fight losing streak with a unanimous decision over Jenny “Savage” Clausius in their BKFC Prospect Series Co-Main Event matchup at the sold-out Revel Arena in Starling’s hometown of Albuquerque, NM.

“That victory was very important,” Starling says. 

“I felt like it was a do-or-die situation for me. I almost felt that if I lost that fight, I might not get back in there again. I’ve had so many people talking (expletive) over the last two years. So that, plus getting the win in my hometown, made it a really special moment. 

“I wanted to prove that I’m not going anywhere, and that if you don’t give up, you can do anything.” 

Starling has a slight sense of relief to be back in the win column with BKFC, but the 27-year-old strawweight contender knows that feeling might only be temporary. 

“It feels like there’s a weight off my shoulder for the time being, but as you know, once it’s over it’s onto the next, and all those eyes are on you again,” she says with a laugh.
