John Fury is in a fighting mood ahead of his son’s upcoming championship bout.

The Fury clan prepares to go to battle this Saturday, when WBC heavyweight champion Tyson Fury fights WBA, IBF, IBO, and The Ring heavyweight champion Oleksandr Usyk in a highly anticipated unification bout. Unsurprisingly, tensions are running high for the contest, and Tyson’s father John has drawn first blood.

His own, in this case.

On Monday, John found himself in the middle of a heated confrontation with Usyk’s supporters and when the distance closed, he took it upon himself to headbutt a member of Usyk’s team. Afterwards, blood could be seen streaming down Fury’s forehead.

In the first clip, Fury’s son Shane abandons an interview to see what his father is up to and you can see a clear view of Fury’s headbutt. Fury can be heard shouting, “We can’t be beat!” before having to be held back to prevent another altercation.

Fury, a former pro boxer, has become infamous for interjecting himself into his sons’ rivalries. In November 2022, Fury went shirtless as he dared Jake Paul to meet him in the ring (Paul was embroiled in an ongoing feud with Tommy Fury), and during this past October’s build for Tyson Fury vs. Francis Ngannou, John challenged Mike Tyson to a fight.
