Agnesa Kirakosian Shows “Warrior Spirit” of Armenian Fighters In BYB 25 Title Win

Agnesa Kirakosian defeated Shelby Cannon via unanimous decision to become the inaugural BYB super flyweight champion at BYB 25: Brawl on the Bay on April 4th.

When speaking to BKN about winning the inaugural super flyweight title in BYB Extreme and how she feels, Kirakosian said,

“I feel great. I don’t know, I might be the first Armenian bare knuckle fighter champion. I feel amazing. I want to represent my small little country, [my] hometown Etchmiadzin, and LA, for sure.”

The unbeaten bare knuckle boxer also went to the weigh ins with the Armenian flag. When asked about the pride representing her country especially after this championship victory, Kirakosian stated,

“We’re a small country with a big spirit, a warrior spirit. We come from a genocide and everything. We’re survivors. We’re conquerors. So it feels amazing. I always feel like they’re right behind me when I’m fighting.”

When giving her thoughts on the fight, ‘Spitfire’ felt like she started slow and ramped things up after tasting her own blood. That being said, the gameplan and calmess were implemented to great effect in this thorough performance for the surging combatant.

A knockdown from a right hook and a higher volume of body shots throughout were the differencemakers in Agnesa Kirakosian’s estimation when asked about the keys to this wijn.

This title garnering effort is additionally impressive since Kirakosian debuted in BYB a little over a year ago. The fact she is champion now inside of three fights is hugely impressive and it seems like the sky’s the limit.

Someone who has contributed to the rapid improvement of Kirakosian is Seniesa Estrada who is a world champion in boxing. Estrada motivates Kirakosian to rise up and did so before she even knew the gloved boxing stand out. Seniesa Estrada was live at the event and spoke highly of Kirakosian’s ability and heart. She has helped grow the new BYB Extreme titleholders skills tremendously in this ever growing sport of bare knuckle.

Agnesa Kirakosian seems ready for whatever the promotion has next for her. She came across as game for facing anyone in the first defense of this super flyweight title inside the BYB Mighty Trigon.
