Mike Perry scored a TKO over Luke Rockhold after a verbal surrender due to teeth injuries in the second stanza of their BKFC 41 main event.

‘Platinum’ improved to 3-0 in his BKFC campaign and impressed dual division BKFC champ Lorenzo Hunt with the quality of his performance. Hunt previously coached Perry before his MVP fight so the champ-champ has a lot of localized insights to go off of.

‘The Juggernaut’, representing BKN at the event, spoke highly about Perry’s pre-fight confidence, quality of head movement, and ability to overcome adversity within the fight after Rockhold cracked him in the first frame of the fight.

Responding to Hunt’s characterization that he needs to get popped to awaken the beast, Perry says,

“He made me think there are some people out there that I can’t take that extra push from. You know, they might lay me out first. So I got to get in there and be sharper, faster, and more. I want to be first and I want to be last when I’m in there. I got to not get rocked like that.”

“Sometimes you don’t see them coming and you’re like, Well, let me just make up for it now. But you know, there’s some people that can do that to you. Then you wake up 20 minutes later and the fight’s been over, so.”

When asked who’s next ? Perry stated,

“Well, man, how awesome of a show that Conor McGregor showed up, man. I was up in my room upstairs. They had me in a room. They made one room for me downstairs. It was small. Then they brought me up and I got to watch the show all night from up top. I was feeling the adrenaline from the crowd.”

“I was like, Damn, let me go sit down and breathe and calm down because I got to go perform here shortly. Then Conor McGregor comes in and it’s like, Damn, this is my opportunity to perform. I’ve had this opportunity before and it didn’t. It’s not what I did. So I made sure that I stayed focused. I went out there and I just performed.”

Also, Perry indicated an interest in a possible fight with ‘Cowboy’ Cerrone. This is someone he has lost to previously under MMA rules and there’s a history there. Regardless of who’s next, the bare-knuckle world is truly Mike Perry’s oyster.
