Leonel ‘Lionheart’ Carrera of Miami clinched his first BKFC triumph with a technical knockout over St. Petersburg’s Mike Heckert in a middleweight showdown at BKFC Fight Night in Clearwater. The fight was halted by the ringside doctor at the end of round two due to an eye injury sustained by Heckert: “My first fight in BKFC was two years ago. I was trying to change my life and I was just getting out of the dark hole. I felt like BKFC was a nice gateway to start all over. It motivated me to be where I am right now. I am ready to fight whoever they put in front of me. Give me the hometown guys, give me the tough guys. I am here to stay.”
